Snow Tool Industry - Marketing Opportunity

Patent Pending
We have recently filed a new and extensive US patent
application covering a variety of possible applications
involving various shovel and broom combinations. The snow
shovel and vehicle broom concepts disclosed on our website
are covered by that patent application. See update.

Prototype Testing
Prototypes of these inventions have been built to test, and
demonstrate the various embodiments of the invention. The
past two winters have provided many opportunities to test
these prototypes. We are more convinced than ever that the
Super Sweep™" and "Bristle-Glide" snow shovels are truly
remarkable tools. They have proven to be indispensable as
compared to the conventional alternatives that we are all
accustomed to. You need only to try them yourself to
understand their undeniable utility.

Snow Tools Background
Despite modern advances in the manufacture of snow
shovels and brooms such as cost-effective lightweight plastic
blades, and tubular metal shafts, the strenuous work of
shoveling, and clearing snow from vehicles remains an
unavoidable and strenuous task. It is not only
time-consuming but taxes the human body, and endangers
life. These newer materials have reduced the weight of these
tools, but have done little to minimize the frictional resistance
of pushing the shovel along the ground or to more efficiently
sweep snow from a vehicle.

Marketing Opportunity
The Super Sweep™ and Bristle Glide™ concepts are more
than improvements to snow shovels. They introduce new
kinds of snow tools that can stand on their own as individual
products. Other than recent "back saving" innovations to
facilitate the lifting aspect of shoveling, little else has
changed in this industry.

We realize the seasonal and regional limitations of marketing
potential with such products. But one must also consider that
these same limitations have not deterred other
manufacturers from repeatedly producing snow shovels and
vehicle brooms that offer little to distinguish themselves from
their competitors. Alternatively, the Super Sweep™ and
Bristle Glide™ products represent an opportunity to penetrate
the snow tool market with the competitive advantages of
proprietary innovation and demonstrable superiority. These
concepts are easy to understand by consumers familiar with
the task of shoveling and sweeping snow from vehicles and
the particular difficulty of shoveling course or uneven
surfaces. Follow this link to view advertising concepts.

Communicating the product in the retail environment
We understand the importance of these product's packaging
and labeling requirements in the retail environment. The
products must attract the eye, create curiosity, encourage
examination, and convince the consumer. The shovel's broad
blade offers an ideal P-O-P communication opportunity. We
envision attractive labels or banners with concise messages
and easily understood pictures to convey their functional
advantages. Follow this link to view advertising concepts.

Public use of product to prompt snowballing demand.
Even more eye-catching than their unique appearance, is
seeing the products in actual use. No form of promotional
advertising will be more effective than seeing your next-door
neighbor heaving snow from the roof of her SUV in less than
half the time and effort than it would normally take. The
inherent outdoor use of these products will inadvertently
demonstrate their many advantages to all who witness them.
As anyone in sales knows, this "word of mouth" type of buzz
is highly prized for its credibility. The resulting notoriety will,
in-turn, stimulate additional sales, increased public exposure,
and so-on.

Of course, not all consumers who buy shovels need vehicle
snow brooms. Consider people who live and work in crowded
cities for example. Even those with no car to sweep, or a
driveway to shovel, still need to clear snow from their
walkways, stairs, sidewalks, patios, and decks. It is precisely
these people who stand to benefit the most from the Bristle
Glide™ Shovel
. They will also be inadvertently demonstrating
this tool in public and generating "word of mouth" awareness
of our product.
